My friend, I honor your life today and everyday. The pain of your loss is as real today as it was two years ago. You are dearly missed and never forgotten. I love you Buddy.

Mike,

On Thursday May 12, 2005 I arrived at the NLEOM. I had just been part of the Police Unity Tour and was riding to remember you, Ruby and your families.

As I arrived and walked my bicycle around the memorial, I thought back to meeting your family for the first time last year. When I looked at the wall for the first time your name was right in front of me. I now know that you were with me as I rode because I had not looked at the names on the memorial until that moment. The odd thing is that the same thing occurred when I got to Ruby's name.

Not a moment went by for the last week that you and your family were not in my thoughts. Thank you for your years of service and I will never forget.

Hey Michael,

Our AAU team started playing basketball a few weekends ago, the girls all wear your number, Tiffany & Alyssa both have #32 for AAU and all the girls on the 14u team wear wrist bands with your number on them. We are an awesome team, we have played 8 games and won every one of them. We are pretty excited to go to Nationals this year in your honor. We hope that you watch over them and with Glenn coaching he is trying hard to make them not only better athletes but better people just like yourself. Anyways, we miss you so much and wish that you could be in the stands to watch them play again but we know that even though you are not there physically you are in presence...
Love you. Chrissy

Hi Mike.

A belated "Happy" Birthday and "Merry" Christmas. They haven't been happy or merry since last year. We know what hell is-it's life without you. As the song goes "you are always on my mind."

This is the time of year that we send E-mails. I still can't come around to taking your e-mail address off my list. Even though you are no longer physically present, I know you continue to look out for us all. I feel your presence every day. At times, I feel as if you are right next to me...I hope you know I say hello when I feel your spirit near me. I know you will be keeping heavens highway safe for Santa and his reindeer. Look out for the one with the red nose.
