Reflections for Correctional Officer Darla Kay Lathrem

May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
May the rain fall gently upon your fields
And until we meet again
May God hold you in the palm of his hand

Gob bless you and your family.

On behalf of the men and women who serve and work for the Georgia Perimeter College Police Department, our thoughts and prayers are with Officer Darla Lathrem's family, friends, and co-workers with the Florida Department of Corrections.

God bless. Rest in peace.

Officer Johns
Georgia Perimeter College Police Department

My heartfelt sympathy goes out ot the family and coworkers of Officer Lathrem.

The public seems to forget that after the road officer brings those commit crimes in, they must be watched by those who serve behind the walls of jail. Officer Lathrem had the courage to "police" the incarcerated, a job with more risks than that of a road officer in my opinion. Rest in peace my friend, your post will be covered nor will you be forgotten.
