Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Joseph P. Morgan

Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.
GOD Bless

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 88th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

Mom of fallen California Officer Larry Lasater, Pittsburg PD, eow 4/24/05

We grieve for the tragic loss of our great grandfather and search for any information about his daughter and our grandmother, Sylvia Morgan Perkins. She left the family around the same time that her father was killed.

My family has had many law enforcement officers in our family. But like all good families, we have our bad seeds. Last year, I learned of my families bad seeds...4th cousins to me...who were the sorry son's who murdered this fine man and two other police officers. On behalf of my family, I wish to express my sorrow and apologies to the descendants/relatives of this brave fallen public servant. For your info., one of the culprits was hanged in 1926 in Arizona while the other was released from prison in Texas in 1934...I do not know what happened to him.

Rick Lawrence, Senior Officer
Probation & Parole

Rest in Peace Brother...you are not forgotten
