Ryan talked to me in a dream about 15minutes ago. I was very disappointed when i woke up, because I was not able to talk with him in this world. I met Ryan in middle school 18 yrs ago and it seems like only yesterday. Being wrapped up in my own life, I haven't thought of Ryan in years. I do remember him being the nicest guy, with high moral character, and a great sense of humor. He was a great friend and a honorable man; I consider myself privileged to have known him.

As you already know, I thought about you all weekend (all month, all the time really). I believe whole heartedly you helped make things a little easier for everyone this weekend. Your presence was felt and appreciated. I miss you!

We will always remember you, Ryan, with a smile. Hard to understand the 'why's' of it all even 8 years later. You gave your all '...a man who gave his life for a friend.'

To Ryan's family, friends and fellow Chesterfield officers: the tragedy of eight years ago changed our lives forever. Our friend, family member and colleague was taken all to quickly from us, leaving us his cherished memory and never ending smile and positive attributes that make our hearts hurt that he's not physically with us today. At the same time, we all have a guardian angel with a heart bigger than anyone can imagine to watch over us. God Bless us all!

May always brings back so many negative memories, and so many tears. I'll never forget the phone call when I learned of your death. Who would have ever known, as we hung out so many times, that your life would be so short. So many years later, I still question whether this all really happened.
We think of you often, and pray for your family each time. My sadness is for those closest to you that must live with the pain each day. As we watch your parents, wife and sister try to find their lives without you. One single moment and the choice of one person can change so many lives and so many times it seems unfair.
May we always remember to cherish the good memories (like when you and Rachel went to the Halloween party as a priest and a hooker), and may your life remind us that each moment is precious. I'll never understand.

Ryan, Just thinking of you today and missing you so much. Remembering fun things we did on the farm together and crazy sleep overs! When i'm working in the front yard i remember your birthday party and going away party we had for you there and i wish i could turn back the clock. When i hugged you there, I should have never let you go.I know life takes us all in different directions that we have no control over, but i wish, with all my heart ,i could change it.Missing you today and everyday.
Love from the bottom of my heart,

Thinking of you today as I do everyday. It has been more than 7 years now that you have been gone. I still find it so hard to believe that you wont be here physically for Halle's 1st birthday even though you were never together on earth. It saddens me that she will never have known her Uncle Ryan. You would have been so wonderful at it. Please watch over her. We love and miss you everyday.
