Reflections for Patrolman William Scanlon
Your heroism and service is honored today, the one hundred and eleventh anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

I'm sad but very proud that my great grandfather made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the community. Likewise, you would surely be proud of your loving, caring descendants many of whom also serve their communities. We'll see you on the other side.

You are the grandfather I never knew, but I am certainly proud of you. I was named after your wife.

You were my great grandfather, you left a big gap in our lives. We don't even know our relatives because you left 5 orphans, one of which was my grandfather. I'm sorry you past away but I can tell you, everyone turned out pretty well and we are good people.
