Detective J. Frank Beckham,

I am proud to be married to your great-grandson, Joseph Bardinelli. Following in your footsteps, he too, became a police officer, just like his father before him. I hope somehow you already know, but just in case, I'll leave it here. Next month, Joe and I will welcome our second son into our home. We are honored to name him Thomas Beckham. Beckham will know your story and will feel the same honor and respect for you that we do. I am so grateful for your sacrifice and through this new child, your name will live on and you will never be forgotten.

Much Love and Respect

Granddad
I was not able to ever met you, but my Grandmother always told me that you were a wonderful person. I would have loved to grow up around you and spend time with you. I have a letter you wrote while on duty in January 1928 that I will keep forever.
