Dear Son,
How time flies yet the memories are so vivid. From the moment we were told you had been shot to the moment you were placed in the ground I visualize everything in my mind. I am still haunted by the thought that someone would be so cruel as to end the life of another. Then I pray for strength to alter my thoughts to fond memories of you and our family. I dream of you on occasion and you are always so happy and smiling. This gives me a reassurance that you are loving your home in heaven. For this I am grateful. Our family is still very private and close knit. We draw strength from each other and of course our faith. Please look down and take care of each of us. We miss you so much and strive to qualify to join you in heaven when the time comes. Watch over your sisters and their families and of course over your Dad and me. We love you son and miss you tremendously.

My Darling David:
Mother's Day approaches and my heart wishes you were here to be part of the celebration. The menu calls for boiled crawfish (your favorite) and of course swimming all afternoon. I can still see you and Dad stirring the pot of crawfish and putting your magic touch on everything. What fun we always had with the whole family.
Time flies so quickly but the longing for your presence here on earth is never diminished. Someday though, we'll all be together and once more the circle will be complete. Miss you tremendously and ask that you watch over our family, your friends and fellow officers. Until we meet again, sweet angel, know how much I love and miss you.

Dear David:
The twelve year mark has come and it seems impossible. That day we lost you is so very vivid to me and you are so preserved in my heart. Each holiday comes and goes and we celebrate with you because we feel your presence. All seven grandchildren would love to have you here and you would be up to your antics to entertain them. I'm sure you would have children of your own by now to add to our happiness.
Your birthday coming up would make you 39 and holding. Just think you have had 12 years with the Lord in glorious
heaven. You are enjoying the ultimate. I pray some day I will join you and you can usher me into your glorious home. Remember I love you and will always miss you. Until we are together again. Love, Mom

Its been 12 years brother, at some point each and every day I think about you, Jay, the other guys, that day, I miss you guys. I see your mom, dad, sisters, Lance all the time and it never gets easier. There are so many things I wish I could change and sometimes the only comfort is knowing one day I will get to see you again I hope. Love you.

Dear David,

I can't believe that at the tender age of 26, you entered into the gates of heaven. My oldest son, John Weston is now 27 years old and I cherish every moment with him as well as with his sister, Caroline 23 and his brother Jacob 22. Your family is amazing and are absolutely beautiful role models of grace. Your mom is one my most favorite people in the world and she reflects her love for you and all of her family everyday through her actions and words. You left a tremendous impact on this community and hopefully your family feels some comfort in knowing how much you are loved by so many. Please ask our Lord and Savior to keep us all close to Him and protect each of us as we journey through the days ahead.

It just doesn't seem possible that it's been 10 years that you've been gone. My memories of you are still so vivid. My heart just smiles when I think of the way you chose to make others laugh, your tender heart, your love of fun, and most of all the way your life reflected your love of Christ. So many, including myself, proclaim their allegiance to Him and betray His commandments to love God first and love each other the way we love ourselves. But I saw you reject the things of the world, and choose to embrace those things that are pure and good. Your life was a light to me. I am so honored to have known you. I am so happy to know that you are basking in the Light and Love of the arms of God. Through my tears, I testify that you will live on in those who knew and loved you.

I found out about you 8 years after you died. I hate that I never met you and wish I could change that everyday. I wish Millie and C.D. would talk to me. Well love you dad.

Dear David:
Time passes so quickly, but our hearts still grieve for you. The joy you have brought us helps us to cope daily and we enjoy our memories. Your Dad wishes you were here to go fishing and hunting with him. I do too, as I don't like him going by himself. You were the only one that could make his trip successful, even though you would kill the squirrel before he could aim his gun. Those days were so great and we laugh at all the fun times we had. Hope you and Jay are standing guard next to Christ's throne. I want to see the both of you when it comes my time to pass through the gates. We all send you our love and keep leaving us pennies in strange places. We miss you but always think about you daily. Till we meet again, remember, you have been such a source of joy. Love always, Mom

Thinking of you David and your family. Mrs. Bryant often speaks of you with love. I wish all students were blessed to have a teacher who cares so much for her students.

David,

My memories of you are still so vivid. I remember the first time I met you when I scared you when I was cleaning Kev and Clifton's "bachelor pad." You were such a special person. . . so kind and tender-hearted and SO FUNNY!
I miss you.
