I remember leaving to work early in the morning and the first thing I would see leaving my neighborhood, was Ofc. Wood pulling over cars in the area of 7000 s Bangerter. I also remember how funny it was watching how he made sure he would stop cars in the shade during the summer. I'm gonna miss pulling up to him and asking him if he's code-4. Thanks for all the help you gave me during motors training.

I am proud of Officer Ron Wood for his dedication to his duties as an officer of the law to serve and protect. He lost his life in a senseless act but while performing a miraculous and often difficult duty.

My thoughts and prayers have been and will continue to bew/ him and his family, friends and all law enforcement officers and their families worldwide. May God bless this world so another incident like this never has to be repeated.

My respect always

Many of us, myself included, looked up to and admired you. Thank you for your dedication and for the friendship. May God bless you and your family.

Officer Woods,

It was a heartbreak, yet privilege to work closely with the great officers and SWAT team members from the West Jordan Police Department on the day of your passing. I was very proud of the devotion and composure they showed on your behalf. It was a wonderful tribute to you and your dedication to serving your community. May your family be blessed with peace and the comfort of knowing that you will be together again. Thank you for your ultimate sacrifice.

We started this week in mourning, proudly and respectfully wearing our black shroud. Each day, we would wake up and don our badges and remember you, constantly keeping you and your family in our minds, even if we did not know you.

We ended the week today paying tribute for our fallen brother who gave the ultimate sacrifice for his fellow brothers and his community.

Tomorrow, many of us will again sign on with our shields un-shrouded. We will discard our mourning bands, in the hope that we will not again have to celebrate the life of a hero in this manner. Even though the bands may be removed and the flags are to come down, each of us has taken a part of your spirit with us and we will never forget you.

God Speed Officer Wood, please keep a watchful eye over your brothers and sisters in blue from above and we will see to it that your unfinished business is taken care of.
