When we lost Skip, our lives as cops changed forever. He was the first in our tenure to lose his life on the job. After your L.O.D.D. 'D' was forever in a state of mourning. We worked side by side for a number of years at 'D'. Never saw it coming. 20 years in 3 days. Seems like a life time.

My father Captain Krug (retired- D district) has spoken of you and your character. I remember watching the news and thinking this is what a real hero looks like. Because of officers like you my children get to see there grandfather. One day I will wear the shield outside of the navy and carry on your legacy. We are eternally in your debt.
