Thomas was my grandmother Mary Alice Peelers grandpa. Her grandmother, Thomas wife was Priscilla Bradford who's great grandfather was Sheriff Issac Walkingstick. Issac was killed in a similiar fashion and is also listed on this site.

Newt was my Great Grandfather. My grandmother used to tell me stories about him when I was a little boy. I was always interested in Cowboys and Indians so when she spoke of him I would always listen intently to her stories, often times confused because my grandmother is half Cherokee. Who's side was I supposed to be on? Typical Oklahoma family question I guess. My Grandma also used to tell me that I reminded her of him and that I favored him in demeanor as well as looks. My Grandmother passed away recently and one of the last things she told me was not to forget my roots.
I don't know alot about my Great Grandfather but from the stories she told me as a boy he loved his Job and he loved Oklahoma. I have my own little 6 yr old boy now,and a few stories to pass on about an Oklahoma cowboy and an Indian too.
