The last time I saw my uncle Jimmy was at the funeral of this mother, my grandmother and I was expecting my third child.Jimmy was the only one I could talk to and stuck to him like glue . He was full of advice, he took me and my sister, Tammy shopping in Sandpoint a couple days prior to the funeral, I regret not being able to see him, he also invited me to Maryland to visit him and Aunt Teressa. The outcome of the second trial was a slap in the face to my uncle and his partner.

Mr. Arnaud,
I would have loved to have met you, as my wife was saying you took my father in at his worst and took care of him.My father had a tough life and you and your family were always there for him.I had'nt seen my father since i was about three years old and he passed away before i could ever get the chance to see him again.I met with your wife and learned about my father and i also learned alot about the great man you are. There is no way i could ever repay you and your family back for all that you have done for my father and myself.I wanted to tell people my story so they would know how great of a man you are if they never had a chance to know you.You are truely a hero and a great man, also a great brother to my father.I will always be glad to know that my father in his most trouble times had you and your family there for him.I look foward to getting to know more of your wife and family as we continue to talk and get to know each other.God Bless You Mr.Arnaud and thank you from the bottom of my heart.
You Will Always Be Remembered,
Robert

Even though my husband and I never got the privilege of meeting you we thank you and your wife for taking care of my husband's father Joe before he passed away in 1996. When no one stepped up to take care of him you took him in and treated him like family. I know he caused a lot of turmoil and stress while he lived with you but he was truly blessed to have you and your wife in his life. I know you served in Vietnam together and you kept your promise to never leave a brother behind.
Thank you for not only serving your country in Vietnam but for also dedicating 13 years to serve and protect others in your community. You are gone but not forgotten.

James, my son saw me looking at this site and wanted to know what I was doing. So I explained to him that I was just visiting this site to say hello to some hero who lost their lives making it safe for others. I know you are missed by your family and co-workers, but we thank you for your service. Rest in Peace.

Although I never met Sgt. Arnaud I still feel like a part of myself died when I heard about what happened on the night of August 29th 2002. He worked with my father and he would talk about Sgt. Arnaud sometimes. It hurt and it still hurts. James, you were and are one of the few good officers that ever served this county and your friends and family miss you. But you are in a better place now.

To the family and loved ones of Sergeant James Victor Arnaud and his fellow officers with the Prince George County Sheriff's Office:
On this the fourth anniversary week of James' tragic death, I wanted to honor and remember him today. Jim's professionalism and dedication will never be forgotten, nor will his valor and courage.
In reading the loving reflections left by his family, friends and co-workers I can see that he was very loved, well respected and is sorely missed. I hope that God is holding him in the sweetest part of his heart and the most gentle part of his soul.
No doubt that Heaven has another hero in James, but I am so sorry you had to lose your beloved Jim. May you all continue to be comforted by your faith and your law enforcement family and other police survivors.
I am so sorry that James was robbed of his life so tragically, but through his heroism and the profound sense of duty with which he lived his life, he made an immeasurable difference. May his spirit continue to soar and may his memory continue to inspire.
This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the dedicated service James gave to his community and the citizens of Maryland, and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on August 29, 2002.

The credit union was where I met you and your grandson's like countwork every other week. The credit union was where we talked about family, work, cars, and fleet. The credit union is where everyones financial dreams come true. The credit union for me now is a bitter sweet place, where I once looked forward to hearing this loud and clear voice vibrating in the air, to realizing the credit union line will be shorter beacause once a good friend stood there. God bless you James
