Your heroism and service is honored today, the 83rd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Laslater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

This message comes from a 30 year officer and Chief of police to the wife and kids of officer Fred Secker. I know the pain and words will not help but God has the answer and he will help when asked. I am very sorry to hear of another fine officer gone.He stood up for what was wright and good now he is being paid for doing that.God be with you Chief Anderson
