You showed grit and bravery that many wish they could have. You truly are a hero, Patrolman McChesney and I have no doubt you are resting comfortably in Heaven, though your services are sometimes required to help your fellow New York cops know the way.

God Bless and may you, on this 148th anniversary of your murder, rest eternally in peace.

Ptl. Jim Leahy, Jr.
Harvard University Police Dept.

I said a little prayer today for Patrolman McChesney and his family. He may be gone but never forgotten. He will always be a New York HERO.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 142nd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Rest In Peace
