To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 36th anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

I pray for the solace of all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Thanks to your friends for sharing their devotion to you through their reflections.

I'll never forget all the times we watched you walk down Main St. You always had a smile and a wave to everyone. You were a friend to all. We will never forget you.

30 years have passed since your brutal murder. May your family be comforted by the fact that you will FOREVER be a hero and will NEVER be forgotten! Until one day in Heaven we meet, keep walking your beat on the Golden Street keeping an eye on the thin blue line.

I had known william and his family all my life. him and his wife catherine belonged to the same church my family attended, blue springs baptist church. in those days, we were all like family. william was the church treasury. i was about twelve years old at the time. he and his wife bought my grandfathers home place and were living there. my dad said when he heard the news,"he was a good man".
