The Sheriffs of Florida and their deputies will never forget the sacrifice you and your family made to uphold our laws and protect society.

Your name has been inscribed on the Florida Sheriffs and the National Law Enforcement Memorial and in our hearts. May you forever rest in peace.

A scripture inscribed on the Florida Sheriffs Law Enforcement Memorial:

"Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they shall be called the children
of God." Matthew 5:9

Deputy Ellzey was my grandfather. My father was Harold Ellzey who lived in Ocala and passed away in 1981. He (Deputy Ellzey) died before I was born but from what I have been told he was a good man.

Hello. This is my great grandfather, I didn't know him. My grandmother Audrey ellzey Watson is one of his daughters and she passed on in 2007.
She was only I believe to have been 12 or 13 when he passed. And I am not sure but I believe all of his kids have passed except for one and her first name is Wilma. Grandad, you always will be a hero in my eyes. Love you. Rest in peace........

Deputy Sherriff Ellzey was my grandfather that I never got to know except from memories that my mother talked of up until her death.

Granddad was married to Izetta Ellzey and they had multiple children including one son that relocated to the Ocala area and he and his wife had four boys.

Was Deputy Sheriff Ellzey related to any of the Ocala ELLZEY Family? If so, HOW? What was his wife's an childs' name?
Are they still alive?
