Dennis, as we come up on 19 years, I reflect back to that night. I have to say it was a pleasure to know you.

And today, I know you are watching over all of the officers. I want you to know that my son proudly wears the badge, number 121 at UPENN.

Rest In Peace, my friend

You were my roommate for a short time in the USAF. Some people don’t know that you were also in the Air Force where you learned Turkish in Monterey, CA. I was learning Korean there at the same time. We were friends. I enjoyed your company. You were always talking about your kid, Spike and your best friend Stevie Comido. You sure were from Philly. I still remember your voice. You are a good soul. I think about you often.

I knew Dennis when I was a kid living on the same blocked on Lindbergh Blvd. He was a couple years older then me and we used to sometimes play football with his brother Tim across the street. He was a great guy and I am proud to have known him and thankful for his service to our country. God bless him and his family.

In 1998 maybe 99 Dennis pulled me over on Beverly Blvd. He ask me if I knew why he pulled me over and I explained how I didn’t come to a complete stop at the stop sign. Dennis then ask me if I knew proper procedure. I was 29 with a clean record. I knew the rules on the road. Yes, I knew better. Lucky for me, on that day, as Dennis explained, it happen to be RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS DAY! He chose me for his single act of kindness! He explained, in turn, I had to chose a random act of kindness for someone that day.. as he handed me a flyer. I was so shocked and extremely grateful, I in turn did one random act of kindness for the next 7 days. If not for the flyer, no one would have believed me. Till this day, I count to 3 when I come to stop!
Thank you Officer Dennis McNamara, for teaching me 2 lessons that day.
R.I.P. God bless your family!

13 years today. We still haven't forgotten you. We had a nice grave side ceremony at noon. Many left "remembrance stones" on top of your stone to let you know we were there. Keep watching our six and guide us with your light. #121

Dennis...YOU WERE a gifted artist! A talented musician (I know you still have my YAMAHA guitar somewhere!). You were an avid reader, and, I cherished those moments we would spend together on your steps with Hogan, just talking!! You could recite any George Carlin gig like I could. When you bought me tickets to see George Carlin, I almost had a coronary on my porch...WHAT A PERFECT and FINE thing to do! I love your family (still) Bunny, Terry, Jimmy, Brian, Nancy, etc... Oh God, how I miss you!

Hey Uncle Dennis. It's hard to believe that its been a little more than 10 years. I think about you each and every day, and always think to myself how you would have changed what goes on if you were still here. You were my favorite uncle from as long as I can remember, and forever will be. You were everyones hero, and still are, and you remain my idol. I love and miss you uncle Dennis. Uncle Jimmy recently joined you up there, say Hi to him for me, and tell him I love him. You guys were the best, and will be together forever! I can't wait to see you guys again. I love you Uncle Dennis, miss you with all my heart, Love Dalton.
