Sgt. Godfrey,
On today, the 104th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you to you and your two fellow Officers who were also killed in that incident for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of the state of Oklahoma. There is no tougher job in Law Enforcement than that of a Corrections Officer.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 98th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never dimishes respect, not even 98 years.

Rest In Peace
