I accidently came across this doing a search of my last name. I am a police officer in AL.. so is my father. Coincidently.. my father's name is Robert Gordon. I wish I could know or find out if we are of any relation. Either way.. you made the ultimate sacrifice and will never be forgotten. Two more Gordon's are carrying on the fight for peace and justice for you. Rest in peace

K. Gordon

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 120th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Rest In Peace

Dear Officer Gordon, I came here to leave a reflection for you in memory of another Officer by the name of Michael P. Gordon form Chicago, Il. who gave his life on 08-08-04. I wanted to leave each Officer with the same last name.To let you know our Hero's will forever be alive in our hearts. How surprised and almost shocked to see someone had been kind enough to leave you a reflection mentioning my own son-in-law who was shot and killed on 04-04-04, Sgt. Jeffrey t. Hewitt. Officer Gordon, may all of you be resting in peace and keeping watch over those who will always keep you alive in our hearts. Carolyn Moore

I stop by this website often after the death of two dear friends with the NCSHP (Troopers Calvin Taylor E.O.W. October 3, 2001 and Anthony Cogdill E.O.W. May 30, 2003). Unfortunately, I had to add the name of another friend recently. Deputy Jeffery Hewitt, Buncombe County (NC) Sheriff’s Department, E.O.W. April 4, 2004.

I want to honor all of those who gave their life in the line of duty. Although your death was many many years ago, you are still a hero.

God Bless the men and women who continue to serve their communities in our great Nation.

...Gone, but never Forgotten....
