Reflections for Patrol Officer William Loughery
On this the 148th anniversary of your death your sacrifice and service are remembered.
Rest in peace as you patrol with St. Michael and all fallen
heroes in heaven.
Your story marks the passing of time, and it marks the sacrifice you gave.

Officer Loughery, today marks the 148th anniversary of your murder while protecting the City of Cambridge. The city has changed quite a bit since you policed it and your agency now works side by side with the MIT Police and the Harvard University Police. We are privileged to work alongside such a professional law enforcement agency and I know you would be proud of your department today.
The fate of your killer is not listed but I trust he face true justice, if not in this life, then in the next. His name is now forgotten, yours never will be, thanks in part to this wonderful website. You are a real hero.
God Bless and may you continue to Rest in Peace, Brother.
