Reflections for Private Eugene B. Hulen

Great Uncle Gene, rest in peace knowing that your family still remembers and honors you. In fact, my height is attributed back to your stature (Gene was 6'6" back then; I am 6'8")! My great-grandmother, Eunice Melvina Betts Hulen (aka Momma Betty) was married to your brother Vic (Victor Hugo Hulen). Next was my grandmother, Martha Harryette Hulen, and then my Mother Virginia Lloyd Monroe.

Rest in Peace Ranger Private Eugene B. Hulen. Thank You for your Service and Sacrifice protecting the citizens of The Great State of Texas.

I Pray for Peace for your Family, Friends and the men and women of the Texas Department of Public Safety. I also Pray that the hounds of hell forever pursue the scum that murdered you. May they know no peace in the after life. May their graves be infested with thorns and weeds. May they burn forever in the lake of fire!

Amen.

Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.
God Bless

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 95th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

What a travesty of justice that your brutal murderer was able to return to Mexico, retire, and live out his life after having tortured you and your fellow ranger.
