Reflections for Trooper Kenneth B. Knapp

Grandpa,
I wish that you were here today . Altough you died before i was born, i will always honor you. I have heard many great stories of your kindness and bravery . You will always be a beacon of what is good and right . I hope you are at God's right hand . Protecting him as you protected the men and women here . Your name lives on. I am Kenneth Knapp, my son is Ryan Kenneth Knapp, and we will continue you name. God Bless all of the N.Y.S Troopers.

I said a little prayer today for Trooper Knapp and his family. He may be gone but never forgotten. He will always be a New York HERO.

Trooper Knapp

You were always like a Father to me. My Father had been serving in the military because of the War and you were there to take care of my family while he was gone. You were always there if we needed him. You were the male figure while my Dad was gone. I remember the day this happened and will never forget you.

Here it is, 62 years after you were taken away from your family, and they still have a whole in their hearts from missing you. There was over a dozen family members who gathered to remember and honor you at Tribute Weekend this year; you will never be forgotten!

Rest easy, Troop. You are not forgotten. Your sacrafice heroic; your lifestyle a hero. Go with God and watch over those left to fight. Thank you for your service.
