I am watching the story of how Officer Beverly was killed in 2001 . This was a senseless act that left a wife a widow and children fatherless not to mention a community and fellow officers who no doubt looked up to him. May you rest peace.

Corporal Beverly, on this day 19 years ago you made the ultimate sacrifice serving the people of Pennsylvania and citizens of Chester. God Bless you and all of your family and rest in peace always knowing that your service and sacrifice are always remembered by your law enforcement brethren.

Seeing the photo of Cpl. Beverly with his family tells his story...a smile so emblazoned with joy he most likely created a star in the heavens when he left the earth! Reading the wonderful accolades from his fellow officers, friends and especially his children on this page offers a loving view into Cpl. Beverly for those of us unfortunate to have never met him. I am grateful.

I just watched a TV show about Officer Beverly's murder. Such a terrible thing to happen to an obviously well loved man, and good police officer.

Bev,
I’ve always considered you my first partner. You were a terrific beat cop. As your partner, I learned how to police the streets aggressively and fairly. Many of those lessons I still apply to how I deal with people to this day.

You will always be missed, “shield 96”

Mike, I still remember talking to you while we where getting are brakes replaced and telling you to come out to the County in work and warning you it ain't the marines and that I made the adjustment so I'm sure you will to, shortly afterwards you Connie and a few others left for Chester PD. Prior to the tragic night you lost your life. I still remember you pulling over for running a red light on 9th street. that was the last time we spoke. It didn't seem real at work when Kyler told me what happened. Years later your still missed and never forgotten. Smep Fi brother.

Corporal Beverly served proudly and was deeply loved and respected by those who knew him. It is a tragedy to lose him. We never know when our lives on this earth will end, but we can make a reservation in Heaven now and assure us a place when God calls us to Himself. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life (John 14:6) and He PAID the price for our sins on the Cross so we don't have to pay the penalty for our sins. Yipee! If we accept His payment by faith we can have salvation and spend eternity with Him in Heaven. It is not something we must earn, it is a gift. The most precious one we can ever receive. "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith_and this not from yourselves, it is the GIFT of God_not by good deeds, so that no one can boast." Ephesians 2: 8,9. For without faith, it is impossible to please God. And our faith must be in God's only Son, Jesus Christ.
You were a credit to the uniform, Corporal Beverly. My heart goes out to your
loved ones left behind, especially your 5 kids, and may the Lord comfort them as only He can.

Bev it's been some 61/2 years since that fateful night, I was one of the first Officers on the scene. It was indeed a pleasure to work under your supervision as a Chester Police Officer. I will never forget you, like you did for Connie I wear a memorial band on my wrist for you. Say hello to my grandparents, and other relatives while you are up there. I will see you again. May God bless you and your family. Rest on my brother

Thanks for helping me on many occasions Officer Mike Beverly you wont be forgotten in the hearts of the people you turned around and steered down the right path in a world that looked so bleak. I will never forget you or Officer Hawkins for that . Today I read in the paper that your killer was denied an appeal . Jesus is on the side of justice and Justice will be served for you Bev.
Rest in peace My real friend .
