My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Great-Great Uncle Edwin,
It was a labor of love to be able to do your research and find out why your life was cut so short. You are now on the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial wall in Washington D.C. and you have dandy marker at your grave site in Ely, Nevada. You were a cracker-jack law enforcement officer and loved by many according to the newspaper accounts at the time of your death. You've left a calling that many in the family have followed and are proud to do. Thanks for leading the way and I'll see you on the other side.............
