Robert, better known as Junie to family , was my uncle, my dad Ben Bastin’s younger brother. He was well loved by his family and friends. He never met his daughter Bobby Lynn, as he was killed in 1953 months before her birth. He was a decorated WWII veteran and was wounded while fighting in Japan.
He and his wife Millie were very happy together and enjoyed teaching dance at the Fred McMurray dance studio.
He has always been in my memory and my heart. I will never forget how saddened his death was for my family , especially for my dad and his wife.
So Thank you uncle Junie for your service, may you Rest In Peace knowing how much you were missed and loved.❤️

Robert Bastin was my grandfather. He passed three months before my mother was born but I will alway be grateful for his service to his country in the USMC and his service to Cincinnati.

Your heroism and service is honored today as we approach the 56th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service.

My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer. He was shot twice when ambushed on April 23rd when he was on a foot pursuit of two bank robbers, 52 years after you were killed.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.
