Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Officer Dannygriggs M. Padayao

At the beginning of every shift I supervise, myself and the other officers on shift dedicate the day to the memory of a fallen officer. Today, April 30, 2003 we dedicated the shift to the memory of P.O. Dannygriggs Padayao who died on this date two years ago.

When one law enforcement officer falls, we all stumble for a while, but we will carry on.

Officer Padayao's sacrifice will never be forgotten.

I am deeply saddened to read about Officer Padayao's death. Drunk driving is completely acceptable in the eyes of many citizen's, as if those guilty of it aren't criminals. Indeed they are criminals, and heroes such as Officer Padayao are our only protection from them. I believe that he must be being rewarded for his heroism, he so honorably served his time on this earth. He fought the good fight. I sincerely hope his killer is kept off of the streets forever. My condolences to his family.

As the "tail" I'd like to thank all of you who left a reflection for my father. He was and is a great man and was surrounded by other great men and women. Our family will always keep each of you close to our hearts and in our prayers. There is not enough words to express my thankfulness to what you have all shown me in just this page. We love you, take care and God bless. Stay protected by my father and by each other 10-4.

Youngest Daughter, Nikki Anne

I was in Maui at the time of your death, on vacation. The news of your death saddened me greatly, cutting my vacation short, due to another Law Enforcement Brother taken from this world. My prayers and thoughts go to you and your family.

My sincere condolences to the Padayao family and the Officers of the Honolulu, HI Police Department. I am greatly saddened by your loss, my thoughts and prayers are with you during this most difficult time. May God give you the strength and courage to get through this difficult time, and the years to come. Although our brotherhood has suffered a tremendous loss, we know that Danny is now safe in Gods arms, guarding the gates of Heaven. God Bless you Danny, for all that you have been, and for all that you have meant, to the people whose lives you have touched..."
