Your heroism and service is honored today, the 137th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. You served your community and state of Texas for 27 more years after your courageous walk and crawl for 65 miles after being attacked with two other Texas Rangers in 1850. It doesn't get too much braver than that.
Rest In Peace.
