Tommy, I never commented about you leaving us back in 1999, but man that was the most terrible call I have ever experienced. I remember the days you backed me up on calls as well as the days I backed you up. You will always be my brother. My wife and I will always miss you and I will always cherish the days you were here. We both cried at my wedding with you as my best man. We had fun that day and I still have my beautiful wife. Thanks for everything and we will see you again.

To our dearest friend,

You were always there for me before you even became a police officer, but when you did go and make that pledge, you made the pledge of a life time. You were the reason I met the love of my life, you were the best man in our wedding and you were always the most pleasant and humble person someone could ever know. Our heart still hurts just like it was yesterday. My husband loved you like a brother and he still talk about the days you and him worked together. It was a most memoriable days for him and he will always have it in his heart. Tommy rest in peace my dear friend and know that you will always be in our hearts forever. WE LOVE YOU

To My Big brother, who I will admire forever:

I know God brought you home early but you was the father figure in my life and made me the man I am today.

Our heart still hurt that you are not here but we know the impact you made in the Orangeburg County community is everlasting.

You truly was a "Peace Officer" by demonstrating that your fire arm should be used as a last resort. There were many stories told to us that you would arrest individuals and by the time you took them to the detention facility, you would have them laughing.

You understood that people are good and want to have a good life for themselves and their family. Therefore, when they are faced with some bad choices, you were able to reduce the stress and have them reflect on the bad choice.

We love you for having this personality and it really was your God given talent.

Continue to Rest in Peace My Big Brother, I know God has rewarded you in heaven!

Always with Love,
Ray Prezzy, your Baby Brother

To Corporal Tommy Prezzy and all his loved ones:

On this the seventh anniversary week of your tragic death, please know that your memory is honored and revered today.

My heart goes out all of your family. You all remain in our thoughts and our prayers.

Corporal, you rescued us, saved our possessions, our lives and our families. You are one of the rare heroes among us. You were always there for us in the most traumatic moments of our lives. No matter when we called, we just expected that you would come and do whatever it took to help us, and you always met our expectations. Your selflessness and dedication are awe-inspiring.

This world, this country, your community truly are better places because of you. To have lost you is a great tragedy, an irreplaceable, immeasurable loss for society. We are grateful for and to you, and honor you for all you did for us day in and day out whether you received a word of thanks or praise.

Rest in Peace, Corporal Prezzy. I am humbled by your valor, courage, and dedication.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the many years of distinquished service Tommy gave to his community and the citizens of South Carolina, and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on April 12, 1999.

~~~~~The Broken Chain~~~~~
We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name.~~In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same.~~It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you, the day God called you home.~~You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide; and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.~~Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same; but as God calls us one by one, the Chain will link again.
