My simple wish is to extend to the Dinkheller family my sincerest condolences for their loss.

With the graphic details of his passing in my mind, I conclude that Mr. Kyle Dinkheller was not a victim, but a hero. For standing his ground a predatory individual was stopped, and greater harm possibly averted.

May he rest in peace.

Such a senseless killing. I'm a Viet Nam Vet myself. This guy gives us all a bad name. I hope he dies and goes to hell for what he did to that officer. We went over there to protect you guys overhere. We came back from over there to let you guys protect us over here. Please don't think that all Vets are like the nut Officer Dinkheller encountered that night. I do appreciate all that you guys to keep us safe from the fruitcakes. May God bless you all.

I just happen to come across this video on the internet. I’ve seen many terrible things but as of now I was never so horrified by such a tragedy as yours. My uncle is a retired state trooper and has always been very respected by me; now I have a new found respect for what he and all other officers and law enforcers have to go through. These people put their lives on the line for US! The people and to see them treated like this will give me many sleepless nights. I have FULL respect for laws in this country and for those who have chosen to enforce them.

Praise to your family and your friends I know now I’ll always remember you in my mind and have a recharged respect towards those who serve and protect.

I am the brother of a Deputy Sheriff in Bucks Co. Pensylvannia. I recently saw the video of this senseless act of a coward. As I heard your final screams of pain my heart felt like it stopped beating and tears poured from my eyes. I pray for your family and for your peace. I want to wholeheartedly thank the brave souls who rid our streets of the human garbage ('take out the trash'). Timely shot placement was the missing component here during a few misused tenths of seconds. The video was shocking and greatly increases my respect for the challenges faced by law enforcement. Now, my hope is that justice will FINALLY be served. Thank you for your service!!!, Officer Dinkheller.

I have recently seen the video of Deputy Kyle Wayne Dinkheller's last moments in life. I was deeply torn and hurt by this video; witnessing a good man go down like this. I wish to offer my condolences to his family and son. I am only 18, but I am thinking of becoming a law enforcing officer. This video has only made me strive harder to reach my goals and stop the madness that takes other people's liberties away.

I learned of the loss of this brave officer during training at the acadamy. I viewed the tape and I am very happy to know that justice was served on the coward that committed this crime.

I watched the in car video of the incident yesterday and i couldn´t sleep lastnight at all.What a terrible tragedy!I didn´t know Kyle but I wish i could have been there to back him up.He truly is a hero and his memory will stay alive everywhere in the world.I´m from Finland and also a brother in blue." I sat in In-Service training today and watched the tragic day that ended the life of a great deputy. To the family I want to say thank you for allowing we(Law Enforcement) to learn from this. Kyle- It is hard to express what I feel about your death. I have shared your tragic experience in our academy, in hope to educate our officers to the realities of our job. You and your family are thought of and prayed for very often. I know there is one more angel shining down from heaven... and he wears a badge. Watch out for us.

I recently saw your video while in my Police Academy. It hurt in a very deep way. Your death will not be in vain. The video I know has saved countless lives and will do so for decades to come. I thank you for your sacrifice and I pray for your family that the Lord will give them peace and comfort. At the end of the program it said that you had received Christ 2 weeks prior to the shooting. Heaven rejoiced as you were called home. Watch over us as we will strive to be the professional that you were.

I've known about the Officer Down Memorial Page for many years, but not until now have I felt compelled to leave a reflection. Today, as I scrolled through the many names..names of people I knew, my husband knew and those who I wish I had known, it made me sit back and think about how my husband could be one of those very people. As he goes to do the job he loves, his life is put on the line and I am forever in danger of losing the love of my life. For those like you, Kyle, who made the ultimate sacrifice and those who may have to face it one day, thank you for what you have done for us...thank you to all those who go out every day and every night to face the unknown for our protection. Friend, because of your sacrifice and the video which reflects it, many officers may live to come home to the families that love them. Today I saw your video for the first time in training. Words cannot describe the emotions in the room as my co-workers and I watched the tragedy unfold. I pray that your family is able to take some comfort in knowing that you murderer will receive the justice that he deserves and that you fought to the end.
