Reflections for Police Officer II Mark Arlin Stall

Officer Mark Stall,
I think of you often...as we were classmates at The Master's College/University (TMC) long ago. You were a great friend at TMC, always funny and with a smile on your face. You were quite the character.

I didn't know until later on that you went into law enforcement. Sadly, I discovered this one day with work associated with law enforcement memorial work myself. I also went into law enforcement (USBP), and even joined The Honor Guard with the USBP, and I have also attended the LEO event there in Washington D.C.

I am all retired now. I never before thought to write anything on these sort of sites, but I do this for others and family members to see...

You are a Hero. Thanks for making the ultimate sacrifice to confront the evil danger in this world.

I know we'll meet again, but you are greatly missed. May your wife and children always be comforted and blessed.

In Christ,
D.B.

Mark, you have ridden shotgun with us on deep nights too many times to count. Your memory is never farther than a few keystrokes away. Now as I sit to pray about the falling world and what influence for good I may have in it, I find myself at your page yet again. Your continued silent faith is somehow comforting to all of us. Maybe it's because of the man everyone knew you to be. We will never forget~~

I have family members that are brothers in law enforcement and realize the risk they take. They served with you Mark and I'm so happy to see people still remember what you meant to your family, the brotherhood and the community. Thank you for what you gave and continue to unknowingly give us all.

Thank you, Mark, for your service, your bravery, and your example. I am nearing the end of my Law Enforcent career, and as part of that career serving with you was certainly one of my finer memories. I hope all new Officers in our Dept. learn about your life and then carry on the values you so gallantly displayed. I know you are watching over us all from heaven while we have the watch here on earth. Rest easy brother,

Greetings to Officer Stall's family. My name is Bob Bates and I am riding my bicycle over a thousand miles this year in honor and rememberance of Mark. I am wearing a bracelet that has his E.O.W. bio and will have it for Mark's family in D.C. for the annual police week. I do hope to meet some one from Mark's family there at the survivors meeting with Law Enforcement United.

MARK AND STALL FAMILY, 9-26-11

I HAVE TRIED SEVERAL TIMES OVER THE LAST FEW DAYS TO LEAVE A REFLECTION ON THIS, THE 14TH YEAR OUR LIVES ALL CHANGED FOREVER. SO MANY EMOTIONS CAME RUSHING BACK. SEEMS LIKE YESTERDAY WE ALL GOT THE BAD NEWS!

I HAVE BEEN A COP NOW FOR 10 YEARS AND THE LAST TIME I LEFT A REFLECTION, I WAS IN THE POLICE ACADEMY.

I WORK NIGHTS, HAVE A K-9 PARTNER (BORRY), AND LOVE WHAT I DO. I WORK THE STREETS IN THE HOPES THAT I DO IT WITH THE SAME COURAGE YOU DID.

THE BATTLE BETWEEN GOOD AND EVIL RAGES AND OFFICERS LIVES ARE PUT IN DANGER MORE AND MORE THESE DAYS. IN MY 10 YEARS I HAVE BEEN IN SEVERAL SERIOUS SITUATIONS INCLUDING AN OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING AND A SERIOUS TRAFFIC ACCIDENT ON DUTY. NONE OF THESE SERIOUS SITUATIONS HAVE KEPT ME FROM CONTINUING TO DO MY JOB.

I READ NOW THAT ONE OF YOUR DAUGHTERS IS 20 AND PLANNING A WEDDING. SHE SEEMS LIKE SHE'S DOING WELL BUT IT'S CLEAR SHE MISSES YOU. I CAN SEE YOU BEING A PROUD FATHER AND LOOKING DOWN ON HER.

I STILL THANK YOU ALL THE TIME FOR YOUR SACRIFICE MY BROTHER IN BLUE AND FRIEND.

REST EASY MARK, I WILL TAKE IT FROM HERE AND LOOK FORWARD TO THE DAY WE MEET AGAIN.
