I'm sorry to say that I never had the opportunity to meet you. However, when my father was killed in the Line of Duty in 2004, my first moment of clarity was when your Mother and Father approached my family and said "we are survivors too." They were a Godsend and Central CA COPS were so supportive and helpful. Leon and Carol, you two were so inspirational that I am proud to say that I have helped start the first ever Northern Nevada Chapter of COPS. I am married to a law enforcement officer in Reno, Nevada and we have two children. I am so sorry for the loss of your son and you are both on my mind today. Thank you for all of your support for my family and for inviting me to sing in Fresno County. I still continue to sing either in D.C. or the CA State Memorial if invited. You two have a very special place in my heart and though I hope my chapter never has to be used, I will always remember the moment you came into my family's life. Jeffrey, may you continue to rest in peace. Leon and Carol - from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Dear Deputy Isaac,
I never got to meet you, but I am one of your sons closest friends and from what I've seen in him you must have been an amazing man. I just wanted to let you know your son has grown up to be an amazing young man. He is the strongest, most loyal person I know, and I know he thinks about you everyday and I just wanted to let you know that he is pushing through and to thank you for your sacrifice.
Sincerely,
Matthew Crittenden

We think of Jeff and pay for his family often as we pass their former house, the place of the accident or reminisce about Chantelle. You aren't forgotten.

Daddy... I miss you more and more each day! Sitting here crying wishing I could have one more minute with you. I have so many questions to ask you, I think it's about that time to make a trip to see you in California! Continue to wrap your wings around us and protect us! Love your one and only daughter!

My dearest Jeffrey Sean Isaac,

Where do I start? This is the first time that I have been on this website and I am amazed! I know you are very proud of our children as am I. Look at our beautiful daughter all grown up about to start her new career in Columbia, SC as a Teen Mom Program Coordinator. That's pretty strange isn't it. Oh yes, and let's not forget our very handsome son going off to NC State (the only college of his choice) to major in Computer Science this August. The only thing missing in this picture is you but I know that you aren't watching down from Heaven on all of us. I can't believe that it has been almost 16 years since you became one of God's special Angels. My heart will forever hold a place for you.

love always

Yesterday in dispatch several of the dispatchers shared very memorable stories of you, just listening to them speak so highly of you brought tears to my eyes. It's amazing how many people you influenced and had an impact on. You are missed by many and will never be forgotten. Continue to watch over your family and your FSO family as well. Hello Deputy Jeffrey Isaac,
I am thinking of you and of those left behind to live out your legacy. I don't get to talk to your parents very much these days....but they are always in my daily prayers. I know the 8th is right around the corner and that date is always extra difficult for those that know and love you. I continue to be grateful to your parents for all the support they gave me and Howard's family in the early years after his death. You and all the brave and selfless Officers, Deputies and Agents that have given your lives to keep us safe are NEVER FORGOTTEN. Each day that we live, apart of each of you lives too. Looking forward to the day we are all reunited in a Peaceful Heaven with our Savior. Thank You for your service!

Hey Jeff,
While checking this mornings email I saw one that the department sent out. "In Memory of Deputy Sheriff Jeffrey Isaac E.O.W. 9/8/97" It's still hard to believe that it's been 13 years. It just seems like just yesterday we were working together. Peace Brother!
