Kevin, we have not forgotten, and we never will.

Detective Jason Gill
Sedgwick County Sheriff

Kevin, I wished we would have had a longer conversation that night. If only I would have followed you, or even asked you to follow me, I believe you'd still be here. I sorry I didn't get there soon enough to stop what happened. I tears me up inside that I was the last one to have a open ended conversation with you that night. Forgive me. Your gone, but never forgotten.

Sedgwick County Sheriff Dept

A fine young man who was always acted in a professional and caring manner. I observed him several times, while he was booking in a prisoner that he had arrested. He always had a pleasant smile on his face and treated all with courtesy and respect. As a memeber of the Sedgwick county Sheriffs Department I was very proud of Kevin.
He was a " Good Cop " Rest In Peace !

Kevin, I never knew you, but I think about what happened to you all the time. You were #5 and so am I. Everyone that knew you speaks very highly of you. I will never forget when your brother spoke to my academy class 3 years ago. There was not a dry eye in the classroom. I was, still am, and always will be proud to wear the same badge you did. God bless you and your family,

Deputy Jon Gill
Sedgwick County Sheriffs Office

I can honestly say that in my entire career Kevin is the only law enforcement officer I met that ALWAYS had a smile on his face. His positive, upbeat attitude impacted everyone around him. Kevin, you are truly missed and this profession needs more officers the way you were.

Major Danny Bardezbain
Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office

Kevin you are in our hearts, always.

DEPUTY EASTER, WE WILL CARRY ON THE FIGHT FOR YOU AND BE AS SAFE AS WE CAN WHILE DOING IT. YOU ARE ONE OF MANY UNSEEN BROTHERS BY MY SIDE EVERY NIGHT. MAY YOU REST IN PEACE AND PEACE BE TO YOUR FAMILY. GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

OFFICER RICK FRAATZ
ST. CROIX TRIBAL POLICE WISCONSIN

Kevin -- I sure do miss you bro. The last time we spoke you told me to hang in there -- it was when I was thinking about dropping out of Friends University cause it was just getting to be to much. I did graduate in 2000 -- today I am a software engineer in Arizona.

I wish I could have been there for you when you needed someone to be there. Not to many days go by I don't think about you and what happened to you.

P.S. Congradulations on getting accepted to the DEA.

Officer McNeill
Park City Police Department

Kevin was a fine deputy and everybody that knew him loved him. He is sorely missed. On behalf of his family, we appreciate all the kind words over the past 9 years.

Rest in Peace Brother...you will not be forgotten

CPD

What a sad, tragic waste of a life. Tears ran down my face as I listened to Kevin's brother tell the of his death while I was sitting in the Wichita PD academy. I thought to myself, how can he go on, why is he still in this line of work? Years later, as I go on, no matter what, I learned the answer. Rest in peace Kevin, and to his family-be strong.

Kevin,
you were a great friend that will be missed greatly. Your dedication to the badge you wore was an inspriation to your brother officers. Though end of watch cam tragically you live on in our hearts and memories.

Even after so many years Kevin's death still stays with me. He was an amazingly neat guy. Kind hearted and full of life.

Kevin will never be forgotten, not by me or anyone who ever knew him.

Sgt. Odilia Bergh
Peachtree City PD

Though we grieve and miss the rest of our fallen brothers the loss of Kevin was extremely hard for those of us that new him as our friend and beat partner. Kevin was everyone's little brother, He was always there to back us up, help us out and give us a smile and a laugh. His dedication to duty and family was an example that all of us should be as passionate about.
