This man was my great uncle. I've heard wonderful stories about him my entire life. Sadly, I never met him but have a portrait of him hanging in my home. He was a good man whose life was cut too short. Rest in peace, Uncle Vic. We will meet one day in the safe streets of heaven.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 92nd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.
