I am in total agreement that there should be a memorial of him in the 26 PCT . The line of duty death took place in the confines of the 34 PCT address 501 West 166 Street. I was able to look at the 34 PCT‘s blotter books in 2018 regarding PTL Willoughby’s line of duty death . The hand writing in the 34 Blotter book is very hard to read . It appears there was a robbery in a liquor store. Right after the perpetrator left Patrolman Willoughby Who was off duty at the time ( and lived in the neighborhood ) entered the store and was told about the robbery. Patrolman Willoughby got a hold of the perpetrator . At some point shortly after the perpetrator shot and killed patrolman Willoughby. There is not as much information in the 26 PCT’s blotter book. I would like his family should see a memorial dedicated to him.

It's on my heart to get a memorial picture/plaque dedication of him , to be hung inside of the 26 PCT. He took police action off-duty and as a result was killed . He left behind a wife and a child .

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 50th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
