Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Police Officer John C. Williams

Rest in peace always knowing that your service and sacrifice will never, ever be forgotten by your law enforcement brethren.

What a horrible way to die. My heart goes out to you, though you were taken 48 years ago today. Police work involves so many risks, some never thought of until it happens or we hear of it, even well after it occurred.

God Bless you, Brother and may the rest you so very much earned, be eternally peaceful.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 46th anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to be among the first to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

I pray for solace for all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.

I came across this site tonight quite by accident. Saw the reflection offered by the AA County Officer and connected with the date. That day you gave your life I was a 19 year old Marine in Vietnam ambushed trapped and cut off from my unit. I managed to survive that day by the grace of god. I became a Baltimore City Police Officer in 1969 serving in the Western District for 25 years. Sadly there are other names here I knew personaly. Officer Ronald Tracey, Officer Ira Weiner and Detective Troy Chesley all from the Western District. What an honor and privlege it was to serve with such men.

Rest In Peace Brother

The day I was born was the day you gave your life. I'm an officer now, and my heart goes out to those whom you left behind.

Thank you for your service.

We ask Thy blessings and eternal rest to all our brothers and sisters
Who have sacrificed their very lives in the performance of
their duties. Give their loved ones the peace and
Strength to bear the anguish of their loss. Remove all
resentment from their hearts, knowing that eternal
peace and rest will abide their departed loved ones
forever. This we beg, Thy name forever and ever,
Amen.
