Sir, this past May we put a memorial sign up at 2nd/Main St. for you. It's across the street from the new PAB. Everyday dozens and dozens of Officers walk under your sign on their way into the building. I catch guys looking up at it with confusion, hopefully they will take a second from their day and look up your story and remember your sacrifice...may we never forget.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 85th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
