Your heroism and service is honored today, the 77th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

To the Grandfather that I never knew:

You were taken from this world 75 years ago. I hope that your watch from heaven finds you proud of the legacy that you left behind on this earth. Rest in peace. You have not been forgotten.

I stopped by today and was taken to your memorial. I am always glad to see family stopping in. Strangers aren't the only ones who love and cherish memories of you.

Your legacy of care and concern for others has obviously been passed on throughout members of your family. God truly blessed the world with your presence.

Rest in peace sir, good watch. Your brothers and sisters in blue will keep up down here until we all meet again.

Edwin was in his mid to late 20s when he was killed. My grandmother, who passed away 10 years ago, was about 24 years old, my mother 2 years old and my aunt an infant. Out of his large family, only 1 of the Welsh children is alive today. She serves in the order of the Sisters, Servants of the Immacualte Heart of Mary.
