Lord, I ask for courage;
Courage to face and conquer my own fears...
Courage to take me where others will not go.
I ask for strength;
Strength of body to protect others...
Strength of spirit to lead others.
I ask dedication;
Dedication to my job to do it well...
Dedication to my community to keep it safe.
Give me, Lord, concern;
For all those who trust me...
And compassion for those who need me
And, please, Lord, through it all; be at my side.

Even though I was just a small kid, I remember very clearly the night this happened. My Dad was the Post Sergeant and we were eating supper when the office called Dad. I rememebr him getting dressed and running out the door. I watched out the window as he drove away with the blue light going. This is one of the events that impacted me and made me want to follow in my Dads steps. Rest in peace Brother.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 40th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.

Most people would not go where we go for one million dollars
A Police Officer goes there for almost nothing
A Reserve Officer goes there for free

God bless you and your family. We'll take the watch from here.

i can not believe that this criminal was only sentenced to five years in prison.what a carriage of misjudgement.a policeoffer murdered and another officer injured and that piece of trash gets 5 years.
