Semper Fi motorman and especially to your daughter who never was able to hug and have you by her side. May God bless you and your entire family for your service. God Bless all members of the LAPD family as my son was a proud member of your great department for several years and I worked along side LAPD in the late 60’s and early 70’s working in the Central office of the CHP.

Although mom was pregnant with me when you made the ultimate sacrifice and you were never able to hold me in your powerful arms, the loving stories and praise from family forever sustained me. You were loved and adored by everyone. I am proud to call you Papa.

Julia Vose
Your loving daughter

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 59th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
