Your heroism and service is honored today, the 54th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Myron was the first officer killed in the line of duty. He holds that dubious distinction because he served his country and city with dignity and honor. Each May, we honor Myron, Andy, Donald, Michael and Howard with a ceremony celebrating their contributions to the city, the department and their families. Always, always remember.
