Your widow is such a sweet lady. I've been conducting your memorial detail for the past 3yrs and it's an honor to see her. She makes a special request every year for me to personally conduct the detail. I advised her that I'll continue your detail every year until I'm either killed in the line of duty or retired and too old to make the 2 hour drive every year

I wish I could have known you, but you were taken before I was born. Mama and Grandma talked highly about you. I often think of all the years we could have been together.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 45th anniversary year of your death. I am privileged to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

I pray for solace for all those that call you beloved.

Mr. Swindoll, I remember you from when I was a young girl and would hear you and Daddy talking, poking fun at each other about hiding out, running radar. It was a sad day in the neighborhood when we heard of your accident. May you rest in peace.
