Gary was murdered the week before I started the academy. They were still talking about him in class our first week. Gary’s memory lives on even today through cop social media forums like “Blue Line Only” that remind us that His Life Mattered. God bless his memory.

As a young agent back in the early to mid 80's in NYC, I had the opportunity to briefly meet and befriend Gary when he helped me with an investigation I was conducting in his area of operation.

I'll never forget the profound sadness I experienced the morning I learned of his murder as I was taking the stand in federal court.

I think of, and reflect upon Officer Stymiloski often. He will never be forgotten even though our paths only briefly intersected.

Officer Stymiloski, the first week, if not the first day of the WCPA, we learned about you; your story was instilled in us, as the hero you were and how evil lurks. That was many years ago, and today, in honor of you and your family I assisted escorting your mother to her eternal, earthly resting place. May you both rest in peace.

I remember it all to well Dennis. I was working the day he was killed, in Dobbs Ferry. I worked Gary's brother Eddie in the WC Dept of Corrections before we both got on separate police jobs.

I hope you are well, and thank you for doing this for Gary and his family.

May he forever rest in the arms of the Lord.

Thirty years, Brother - it's difficult to comprehend; it still seems like yesterday. I know you're watching over all of your Brothers and Sisters in Blue, active and retired. You left behind a legacy that time cannot erase - and your enthusiasm for the job, your empathy and respect for those in need and your love for your fellow officers, your friends and family have sustained us in our grief.
'Til we meet again...

Gary was a good friend and a good police officer. We started working in the Village of Sloatsburg. Gary was hired in 1982 by the County of Westchester . Gary was one of the first offices hire off the newly established list of the Westchester County Department of public safety which was the merger the between the sheriffs department and the Parkway police in Westchester. Kerry was standing in the new department and it had he live I know he would probably be running the department by now. A life cut short a life that could've been all because of the psycho they now believe was a mass murderer. And we cannot forget about Beverly who was also killed by the same individual that Killed Gary and horrible things that were done to her before she died and after she died.
