Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Elton C. Stover

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 46th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Rest In Peace

Deputy Stover was killed in the line of duty 1 day after I was born. I was looking through the ODMP web site when I noticed his memorial. I pray his family has done well in his absence and that he is singing with the angels in heaven. All we here on earth can strive for is to live in the shadow of such heroes.
