Patrolman Smith,
On today, the 83rd anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not justvas a Law Enforcement Officer but for our Country as well when you served with the U.S. Army during WW I. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 77th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

I have heard stories of my great gradfather on my mothers side growing up.I knew that he died on duty ,but I lacked the details.A sad day indeed that these offers gave their lives.Any additional information anyone out there can give me on him would be greatly appreciated.

He was killed the year before I was born, he was my mother's
brother. He served in World war I, and I missed knowing this wonderful man as I was born soon after he was killed. It is so sad to take someone's life away from his family. It was a senseless murder and we still miss him.
