Even though it has been over 72 years since you died in the line of duty you are still remembered. I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of the state of North Carolina.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 70th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service to the native state of myself and my cherished son Larry Lasater who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
