This man had to have had the biggest heart in the state of Iowa. He taught me numerous things; honesty, hard work, integrity, humor, a sense of fair play and to abhor injustice. He laughed and sang and even danced! He was a big guy, so it was easy to cuddle on his lap and fall asleep. You see, Charley is my dad,(very proudly so), and today he would have been 89 years old. Happy birthday, Daddy. I'll always love you, your daughter, Mary Jo

My uncle, was the best, he always would put everyone before himself. He always had a smile on his face. He is now reunited with his beloved Mary.
