Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Arthur Wayne Skaar

I apologize profusely Deputy Sheriff Skaar. I meant these reflections for Officer William C. Cook of Metro-Dade Miami Florida. You had all these skills and were much too young to be taken away from your peers and family.

Retribution does not cleanse the soul. It only makes one's heart darker with evil staining an entire human being. A pure, truthful and most trustworthy heart that was heroically attached to your acumen and foundations of ferocity and fruition, Officer Cook. To maintain order in Dade County my neighbor, friend and hero, dignity, integrity and clarity was consistently applied to your strokes of sanctity and security. Rest in peace. Brighter days hopefully lie ahead it was men like yourself, Officer Cook, who were imbued with justice and pride. A badge and uniform of honor worn supremely well. One angel of awareness who knew his job and was outstanding in conviction and treating others as you would want to be treated.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 46th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace
