Frank, you and I patrolled the streets and backed each other all the time. Partners on the street and friends for life. Our squad: Sgt. Ron C, Cpl. Dennis M, Denny C, Julia C, Dave W, and me had our hearts broken at the loss of you, our brother. You were an incredible deputy, person and friend. Missed regularly and never forgotten. Continue to rest in peace and I know you are in a place were cops don't need to make arrest, and I know your watching football from the high seats. God Bless you my brother!!

The Sheriffs of Florida and their deputies will never forget the sacrifice you and your family made to uphold our laws and protect society.

Your name has been inscribed on the Florida Sheriffs and the National Law Enforcement Memorial and in our hearts. May you forever rest in peace.

A scripture inscribed on the Florida Sheriffs Law Enforcement Memorial:

"Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they shall be called the children
of God." Matthew 5:9

My dearest Frank... I came here today searching for a bit of information to share with your niece Sharon. I remember well how handsome you looked on your wedding day, with Sharon dressed as your flower girl. Your first niece, and how you loved her so. I went on to become a Deputy Sheriff in Georgia. I was so sad to learn of your passing....but you did it doing what you loved. I hope you and your brother are walking the streets in heaven. I loved you then, and will honor your sacrifice. Rest in peace, and thank you for those years you were my brother in law! Good times.

Lee Seton, Franks brother did not take his own life. He passed from a variety of health issues that ultimately lead to his death, but not a suicide. Frank was his hero and friend and until his last breath loved and missed his brother very much. Thank you all for your thoughts, kind words, and prayers.

I was also there that night searching the woods. I heard what had happened over the radio and I have never forgotten that moment. His brother, Lee, was with the City of Orando PD and eventually took his own life. Frank was his hero! Two law enforcement officers died that night! RIP Frank and Lee Seton!

"The Badge"

He starts his shift each day
To respond to calls unknown.
He drives a marked patrol car.
A police officer he is known.

He's paid by the citizens' taxes
To make it safe on the streets.
But he usually has a second job
'Cause a waitress has his salary beat.

Now he doesn't know a holiday
'Cause he works all year round.
And when Thanksgiving and Christmas finally arrive
At his home he cannot be found.

He's cursed and assaulted often,
The one whos blood runs blue.
He seldom ever gets a thanks,
To some he's just a fool.

His friends are always other cops
'Cause people just don't understand
That underneath his badge and gun,
He's just another man.

He knows there might not be a tomorrow
In this world of drugs and crime.
And he gets so mad at the court system
'Cause the crooks don't get any time.

And each day when he leaves for work,
He prays to God above.
Please bring me home after my shift
So I can see the ones I love.

But tonight he stops a speeding car,
He's alone down this ole' highway.
It's just a little traffic infraction.
He does it everyday.

Well, he walks up to the driver's window,
And his badge is shining bright.
He asked the guy for a driver's license,
When a shot rang through the night.

Yes, the bullet hit its mark,
Striking the officer in the chest.
But the Department's budget didn't buy
Each officer a bullet-proof vest.

So he lay on the ground bleeding.
His blood wasn't blue - His blood was red.
And briefly he thought of his loved ones
'Cause in a moment the officer was dead.

In the news they told the story
Of how this officer had died.
And some who listened cared less,
But those who loved him cried.

Well, they buried him in uniform
With his badge pinned on his chest.
He even had his revolver,
He died doing his best.

I remember your death as if it was yesterday, I did not know you, in fact I was just a teenager, but I lived very close to where you died. I followed the story on the news and remember thinking how terrible that a cop had died just down the road from me. Now this many years later, I honor your memory, you are not forgotten.
