Reflections for Trooper Craig A. Scott

Dad,

The moments, the days, the months, the years continue to pass. I will never forget your love. The life lessons of structure, values, accountability, integrity and the importance taking pride in one's work are still an integral part of me. I know you are still near because I can hear you urging me to stay true and be strong. I will. I am.

Love,

Sadly, I am the daughter of one of the suspects in the case of trooper Scott A. Craig. I want to express my deepest condolences to the family, my adopted dad, was a Washtenaw county police officer, then was a Chelsea Michigan police officer. I recently found out that my birth dad, (Dennis Wynn) is trying to get out of prison for the death of trooper Scott, as he said he got wrongly convicted. I totally go against that! He is guilty! I want to make sure he will never get out of prison.

UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN

The years have passed,
Reflections come and go.
You're still missed so terribly,
It's been 37 years,,,,,,,so long ago.

These anniversaries,,,,one year at a time,
Celebrations of your life, now memories of mine.

A forever reminder of your sacrifice, your service, your family of blue,
After 37 years my love, a memorial highway will be dedicated to you.

Until we meet again,,,,

Scotty I reflect on my years as a trooper every day and the time I remember the most is the time I partnered with you in Bad Axe. I was one year out of recruit school when I was assigned to work with you and I learned more with you then I ever did with my senior officer and we had a lot fun in the process. RIP my friend

I’m terribly sad what has happened to this family, and the heartbreak this has caused on all of them. I really wish they would reach out to me so we can catch up on so much lost time. I miss you all!

Dad,

Each February 9th I remember...and I am at times in need of an extra moment and an extra breath to leave a reflection on this memorial site. I am here for you; I always will be. I can still remember you holding my hand to cross the street to the Michigan State Fair and watching the fireworks together in Detroit on the 4th of July. The bonds of love never die, and the memories live on.

Just prior to Trooper Scott being shot I was talking car to car with
him. He was a good trooper and very nice young man who had the
respect of all who worked with him.

Dad,

Your love has glowed strong throughout my life, remembering all the right lessons you taught me at an early age. Your paternal love. I can still remember you polishing your white Nova with the white leather seats. You had such high standards in all that you did, reaching for perfection. That State of Michigan and family haven't forgotten you.

I miss you...

My love,
Jonathan and I went to the MSP memorial on May 4, 2015 and I must admit it was bitter sweet and beautiful. It's been awhile and I got a wonderful surprise. Your brother, Bryan was there also and I could see the resemblance in his eyes. I miss you so very much. The service was moving and I am so proud of what the MSP has done to keep the spirit alive. Until we meet again eternally,,,,,I will love you always and forever.

Your life will always be a testament of how a drop of love can reverberate throughout another person's lifespan. The memory of you makes me both strong and fragile, at once.

You are still with me.

Trooper Scott,
On today, the 33rd anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just as an LEO but for our Country as well when you served with the U.S. Army in Germany as a a member of the "Big Red One." And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
