Officer Norman Schoen was my grandfather, whom I am named after. His daughter Henrietta was my Mom. She passed away in 1990. In his honor, I proudly carried Patrolman Schoen's original patrol whistle from 1980-1985 as a Reserve Police Officer for the City of South Tucson, AZ, and more recently, as a member of the Maricopa County Sheriff's Posse until 2003. I've several news clipping about his murder and have visited the home where he was killed. I thank ODMP & IAPD for honoring his service.
