I recently retired from the NYC Police Department and have been dedicating a lot of my time to family research, My Maternal Grandfathers family is also from Aguadilla and In my research have discovered we were indeed distant cousins. Dear Lord, be with me on my beat

I dont know if we are related by blood, although I remember my grandfather, Jacinto Alvarez Olmedo originally from Aguadilla, Puerto Rico mentioning that he had a relative of his that was killed in the line of duty. Thanks to this website and being able to queary it, I found your memorial page. Blood relatives perhaps, however thank you for your sacrifice, and dedication to duty. Your Brother in Blue. Bendicion.
